Car Insurance Pontiac (Car Insurance). which car is better from these two?

which car is better from these two? http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/2356994616.html http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/ctd/2353498740.html im gonna make on look like the one on the fast and furious..

You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/ctd/2353498740.html is a bargain buy but if you can afford it, it seems that http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/2356994616.html is in much better condition so in my opinion would be worth the extra $300 both are equally bad

Need a reliable car for less than $3,500, what should I look for? Wrecked my old car in January and have since been sharing a car with my fiance. College is quickly approaching and we can no longer share the car, so I need my own. I have $3,500 and I do NOT want a Honda. I've had three in the past and they've been nothing but trouble. I don't drive hard and I keep up with proper maintance, I just have bad luck with them. I love the looks of DSM's, but God knows that they're unreliable. My requirements are: * Manual * "Speedy" * 4 Seats * RELIABLE I was thinking maybe a 90's Celica with pop up headlights, I'm a sucker for those. car insurance.

Pontiac . How to Sand a Rusty Car to Paint

There's nothing like a peeling paint job and spots of rust to make your ride look trashed. While you could paint over the rust, that wouldn't fix the damage, so the best thing to do is sand down the rust and re-paint. Sanding down that rusty car will take a long time and give you a good workout if you do it by hand, or you can make the job easier with a sandblaster.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Face mask
Power sander
Dry sandpaper, 80-grit and 40-grit
Cotton cloth
Anti-rust spray
Aerosol primer

Step by Step :
1
Strap on a face mask before you start. You'll be creating a lot of dust and paint particles and you don't want to breathe them in.
2
Fit your power sander with 80-grit dry sandpaper to begin. This grade should remove most of the paint so you can get to the rust.
3
Bring the power sander up to the surface of your car. Then turn it on low or medium low. Work the sander back and forth across your car's paint until all or nearly all of the paint flakes away and your car is down to bare metal. Wipe away any paint flakes with your cotton cloth so you can better see the car's condition.
4
Work across all areas of your car in this manner. Before you can treat the rust, you need to get the paint off. Switch to the 40-grit sandpaper and work the power sander over stubborn areas to remove paint that didn't already come off.
5
Spray the metal with an anti-rust spray to prevent the rust from growing back.
6
Apply a coat of primer to your car using an aerosol spray primer. Your car is vulnerable in its bare metal state, and the primer will protect the auto body until you have time to paint.
Tips & Warnings
Hot Rod magazine suggests using a razor to strip away car paint. This works well on cars that have been poorly painted.

Pontiac . How to Sand Blast a Car

Sandblasting is a powerful way to remove paint from virtually any car body part. With a sand blaster, paint, rust and primer is stripped clean, leaving a bare, metal surface that is ready for a coat of primer. For refinishing a car or getting that perfect factory match, it is one method to consider. However, the process must be completed in the proper manner to be effective.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Sand blaster and compressor
Proper sand for your particular part

Step by Step :
1
Assess the part you want to sand blast. It is important because this will affect your choice in sand. If it is an under body part, use washed and bleached beach sand. For surface parts like door panels, use a 36-grit silica sand, a dedicated sandblasting material.
2
Remove the part from the car and remove the hardware from the part you intend to blast. This includes chrome door handles, panel strips, fenders, tail lights and any other part that is not going to be refinished. A sand blaster is not accurate and it will damage exposed parts. Simply taping over a part will not protect it from sandblasting.
3
Set the part onto a saw horse or another stable support outside in an area away from your garage or home where you can easily dispose of the sand. Do not sand blast indoors.
4
Load your blasting media (sand) into the sand blaster container. Then, set the appropriate PSI for your compressor. Attach the sand blaster gun to the air hose and aim the unit at the part. Move the gun from side to side, holding it about eight to 12 inches from the part and work quickly, spraying in short bursts to remove the paint.
5
Repeat Step 4 as needed. Sand blasters work quickly and efficiently so a fast hand and a light touch is often required.
Tips & Warnings
Sandblasting stresses metal parts so avoid excessive blasting of car door panels, fenders and trim.

Driving your vehicle with expertise can prevent many of the most common causes of transmission failure. This involves getting into the proper gearto reduce the strain on the engine and the transmission, and not riding your clutch. A good driver with a manual transmission learns to watch the tachometer, or just "feel" the car's need for more power or more speed, and shift into the proper gear for each occasion. But many drivers with automatic transmissions just shift into Drive and go up steep hills, carry heavy loads, and bounce into jackrabbit starts, happily oblivious to the fact that even automatic transmissions have gear selectors that provide one or two lower gears for these occasions. An automatic transmission works with gears, too. If you're in low gear, you're transmitting more power to your rear wheels, and your transmission feels the strain. If you attempt to speed in a low gear, you strain the transmission even more. On the other hand, if you attempt to climb hills in high gear, you force the car to make the effort in a gear that lacks the power for the job. The result: more strain. To avoid unnecessary wear and tear and extend the life of your transmission, whether it's manual or automatic, use the following shifting strategies: *** When you need a sudden burst of speed, use passing gear. On vehicles with an automatic transmission, passing gear provides the same kind of increased power that downshifting a manual transmission does. You use passing gear when you're already in high gear and need an extra burst of power to pass a car or enter a freeway. If you've been traveling at less than 50 mph, the sudden flooring of the accelerator makes your car downshift automatically from High to Second, which provides more power by speeding up the engine. When you release the pedal, the car goes back to High. Use Overdrive (or Fifth gear on a manual transmission), if you have it, when you're travelling along steadily at a high speed. With Overdrive or Fifth, you have an extra, higher gear that allows your rear wheels to turn even faster while maintaining the same engine speed. After you're really moving, shifting into Overdrive means that you can move at the same speed while the engine turns more slowly and consumes less fuel. Shift to higher gears as soon as your speed enters their range. (Your owner's manual should tell you the range of speed for each gear.) There's no need to supply extra power when it's not needed. However, if traffic slows and you feel the engine straining (called lugging), downshift to allow the lower gears to provide more power. When the engine is lugging, shift into a lower gear so that it can turn faster and carry you along with less strain. After you get everything moving freely, return to a higher gear. Use lower gears for heavy loads and steep hills. If you come to a steep hill — or if you're carrying four kids, two dogs, and everything you'll need for a month in the country — go for the lower gears instead of trying to haul the whole mess as fast as you can. Then shift back up again to coast down the hill. This way, the power goes toward carrying the load ratherthan toward maintaining speed. • Adjusting your parking brake P* Checking your anti-lock braking system (ABS) J\ s I explain in Chapter 10, all vehicles today are equipped with dual w\ hydraulic brake systems. Many newer vehicles are also equipped with anti-lock brake systems (ABS). This chapter provides instructions for doing preventive maintenance on your brakes and doing checkups that help you to spot trouble before it occurs. If you need professional work done, this chapter also provides tips that enable you to deal on an informed basis with an auto mechanic or brake specialist. En If you haven't read Chapter 10, or if you've forgotten what you read, please go back and review it before continuing with this chapter. Chapter 10 describes hydraulic brake systems on a part-by-part basis, explains the differences between disc brakes and drum brakes and between manual and power brakes, and describes parking brakes and anti-lock brake systems. You must be familiar with what should be happening when you stop your car before you can tell whether the brakes need adjusting. And you need to be familiar with the parts involved before you can work on your brakes.
